Economic Growth and Enterprise Development
CAMRIS works to improve programs for economic growth and institutional strengthening in developing and transitioning countries. Ares we work include the following::
- Small and medium enterprise (SME) development, including institutional strengthening, economic planning, budget analysis, sectoral analysis, and marketing analysis.
- Social sector development, including strengthening educational programs, social service programs, and modernizing institutions at all levels.
- Agriculture and rural development, including alternative development to promote substitutes for agricultural illicit drug production.
- Promotion of trade and exports through improved planning, policies and systems
- Financial systems, including modernization of information systems, management processes, laws, regulations, procedures, training, and monitoring and evaluation. Past work also includes budgeting, human resources management, and public sector planning.
In Peru, CAMRIS provided technical services for USAID’s Alternative Development Program designed to reduce coca cultivation by supporting viable alternatives for licit livelihoods. CAMRIS provided support in the areas of operations research and knowledge management to identify better ways to achieve sustainable impact in promoting licit economic activities, strengthening agricultural research, livestock, agricultural cooperatives, sugar diversification, regional development, and housing. USAID Financial Sector Reform under Support for Economic Growth and Institutional Reform Project II (SEGIR Financial) IQC.
CAMRIS is a subcontractor to the East-West Management Institute for the SEGIR Financial IQC, which addresses a broad range of financial sector issues to create long-term economic growth and reduce poverty in developing nations.
USAID Macroeconomic Policy, Poverty Alleviation and Economic Institutions and Analysis Technical Assistance Services under the Support for Economic Growth and Institutional Reform Project (SEGIR MACRO II) IQC.
CAMRIS is a subcontractor to Louis Berger Group on the MACRO II IQC, which provides technical assistance to developing countries in introducing, developing and maintaining economic policies and institutional reforms that encourage sustainable economic growth and poverty reduction.
